About Chicanos Por La Causa CPLC Corazon

Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) began as a grassroots organization made up of activists and students in the 60s. Now, they operate from Phoenix, Arizona and offer state-wide services like childcare, small business loans and behavioral healthcare. CLPC Corazón is their multicultural center that offers residential substance abuse treatment. Bilingual staff offer English and Spanish counseling, 12-step peer groups and residential treatment.

Their Level 2 residential center is accredited by CARF. It can accommodate 65 clients and provides a holistic approach to addiction recovery. Residents get all meals, access to a free on-site laundry room, a garden and a basketball court.

Inpatient stays run between 30 to 60 days. During your time, you’ll participate in a daily structure that promotes recovery. You may take part in group counseling sessions as well as individual and family or couples sessions.

Holistic treatments including yoga, Qigong, Tai Chi and a sweat lodge can promote healing and a body-mind connection. If you need help paying for treatment then there’s a substance abuse block grant funding you can apply for.

Clients who have begun medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with a previous provider can continue treatment at CPLC Corazón. They can administer methadone, Suboxone and other medications to help with opioid or alcohol addiction.

CLPC Corazón also runs a transitional program that provides housing to folks as they transition out of treatment and re-enter society. This sober living facility is called Grace House and is only for former Corazón residential clients.

Here, you’ll have a safe space to live for up to six months while you continue to work on your recovery. You’ll get access to case management and outpatient counseling while you look for work and figure out your next steps.
