About Capstone Treatment Center Judsonia

Capstone Treatment Center in Judsonia, Arkansas, is a one-of-a-kind residential drug and addiction treatment and recovery facility. This is a family owned recovery facility that blends both evidence based practices and faith based approaches to care.

There are adolescent programs for boys aged 14 to 17. There’s also a young adult program for males aged 18 to 28.

While teachings of the Christian faith help you build a foundation upon which to build your skills, it’s their evidence based approaches to care have translated into proven results.

There is an assessment tool that measures the effectiveness of a treatment program through what’s known as a BARC score. The assessment scores range from 10 to 60. Facilities that have a score of 47 and above generally predict sustainable recovery in the clients they serve. Capstone Treatment Center’s BARC score is 53.

Many aspects of this program have allowed it to stand out. A unique aspect that I love is their pet therapy service. All clients start their recovery with a puppy, and they get to take the puppy home once they graduate.

Pet therapy can be an effective tool for helping the boys and men here understand how to take accountability, be responsible, and think of the wellbeing of someone other than themselves. It also helps them find meaning, purpose, and joy in their life.

Helping strengthen these skills is the incredible client to counselor ratios. All of their therapists always have only two clients on their caseloads. This gives them the bandwidth to focus their efforts on helping you succeed in recovery.

The campus itself is designed for health and healing. Tucked away in the woodlands just outside of Judsonia, this beautiful campus has a rustic and warm sense about it. Rooms are well furnished and comfortable with wood accents and warm tones. The grounds are well kept and provide you with the perfect place to connect with nature and reflect on your healing.

I also love that you’ll also get to enjoy off campus adventure days every Friday. This is an incredible way to explore all that Arkansas has to offer while experiencing a new perspective on life.
