About Operation PAR Inc Clearwater

Operation PAR has helped individuals and families affected by substance use for over 50 years in Florida. They have facilities in various counties including Pinella, Sarasota and Manatee. This facility in suburban Clearwater offers medical detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT). It’s located near US Highway 19 and Old Tampa Bay.

Detoxing is your first step towards a lasting recovery. It lets your body rid itself of toxins resulting from a long period of alcohol or drug use. You’ll be monitored 24/7 by their medical experts during the procedure. They may offer therapy and administer FDA-approved meds to curb cravings as needed. You may receive other evidence-based stabilization support as well before the process is completed. The goal is to ensure that your withdrawal is as painless and comfy as possible.

Most folks take between 3-6 days to stabilize. Their staff will help you create a care plan that sustains your recovery efforts after detox. This may include links to community educational, legal and social support services.

You can continue to receive treatment in this facility via the MAT program. That’s if you’re dealing with addiction to opioids or alcohol. You can also move to their residential and outpatient facility in alternate locations.

They prescribe methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone to help curb cravings and reduce withdrawal symptoms in their MAT program. This is supported by counseling sessions that help you build healthy coping skills to prevent relapse.

This program also involves drug testing, in depth behavioral analysis and physical exam/lab work. Individualized treatment planning and recovery coaching services are provided as well. Specialized treatment or recovery options are available for pregnant women struggling with opioid use.

I also like how they offer specialized license plates that promote a drug-free Florida for kids. Purchases go toward funds that help local communities develop anti-drug programs. You can also purchase bricks in their outside foyer as a means of donation. It’s a neat reminder of your commitment to your program, and you’ll join those who came before you.

The program uses automation and electronic health records to reduce wait times and enhance the treatment experience. You can fund your treatment here through Medicaid.

    Outpatient Rehab

If you want to attend school or work during rehab, consider outpatient treatment in Florida. You’ll live independently except when you’re attending rehab. Outpatient treatment sessions generally last 60 to 90 minutes and may include discussing a specific issue, sharing wins and challenges, education about specific topics, or developing life skills.
