About Recovery Works Elizabethtown
Elizabethtown, in the heart of Kentucky, is home to Recovery Works. This warm and comprehensive facility is part of Pinnacle Treatment Centers and provides a range of substance abuse treatment options for adults. They offer detox, inpatient and outpatient levels of care from their historic setting. They accept in-network and out-of-network insurance providers including Medicare and Medicaid.
Their two levels of inpatient care are medical detox and residential treatment. During detox you’ll have around-the-clock supervision as your body withdraws from substances such as alcohol or opiates. You’ll be medically stabilized with medications if necessary. Following detox many people step down to residential treatment. Here, you’ll still have 24/7 care in a safe, secure and sober environment.
Their partial hospitalization program (PHP) gives you a structured daily program while allowing you to live at home. If you have family or other responsibilities in the evenings then this can be a great fit for you. A further step down in intensity is the intensive outpatient program (IOP). This is a flexible outpatient level of care that gives you around 10 hours of treatment every week. You may attend a few times a week for a couple of hours.
Recovery Works also offers medication-supported recovery. They can give you medications such as Gabapentin, Sublocade, Suboxone, Subutex and Vivitrol to help you overcome opioid addiction. They can continue with methadone if you have begun that medication with a different provider.
They also offer an alumni program for people who have completed treatment. You’ll have access to a peer support network and community event as well as a free monthly alumni meeting.

Drug Rehab

Whether you need detox, inpatient treatment, or outpatient care, a drug treatment program will help you build a new lifestyle based on healthy coping mechanisms, better relationships, and a new way of thinking about life.
Insurance Coverage
Medicaid

Levels of Care
- 1
Detox Treatment
The first step to a substance-free lifestyle is detox in Kentucky. After approximately a week of detox, during which you’ll receive medical attention for withdrawal symptoms, you’ll be ready to transfer to inpatient or outpatient rehab treatment to begin your new life.
- 2
Outpatient Rehab
Attending outpatient treatment in Kentucky allows you to get evidence-based care without living in the facility, helping you establish long-term recovery. Outpatient treatment is less intensive than inpatient care and may include both counseling and attendance at a 12-step or other recovery support group.
- 3
Aftercare Support
Overcoming substance use is a lifelong process. Aftercare in Kentucky gives you the support you need to stay sober. Aftercare services help provide stability as you establish your new life and may include help with employment, housing, sober activities, making friends, and finding long-term support.
- 4
Partial Hospitalization Program
Partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) in Kentucky allow clients to live at home or in a sober living facility while attending an intensive treatment program. PHPs provide up to 20 hours of treatment per week. Some sessions may be focused on life-skills training, others may be group or individual therapy, and it’s not unusual for there to be activities and outings as well.
Therapies
Group Therapy
Attending group therapy in Kentucky is a way to overcome shame and isolation, helping you establish long-term recovery. Group therapy can be part of detox, inpatient treatment, and outpatient care. It’s generally combined with individual counseling, activities, life-skills classes, and relapse prevention planning.
Individual Therapy
During individual therapy in Kentucky, clients work with a professional to address specific individual concerns. A professional therapist can help you identify substance use triggers, reshape your thinking about specific topics, and address prior experiences and trauma that impact your substance use habits.
Family Therapy
Attending family therapy in Kentucky is a way to address broken relationships and dysfunction, helping you establish long-term recovery. Family therapy is a normal part of evidence-based treatment programs, and may be a part of inpatient treatment, outpatient care, or both. Topics include addressing past events, overcoming codependence and enablement, and building healthy, supportive relationships with each other.
