About New Vista Recovery Services for Families

New Vista offers mental health, substance use, primary care and emergency services to residents of all ages in Lexington, Kentucky. Clients can get support at a location closest to them in Fayette, Scott and Boyle counties. They also have satellite offices in other counties so as many people as possible can benefit from their services. New Vista is accredited by The Joint Commission and has been providing services for decades.

They offer residential and intensive outpatients levels of care as well as medication assisted treatment (MAT). They may also offer transportation and employment assistance.

The first step you’ll need to take is to meet with a therapist to have an assessment. This helps them figure out the right services for your needs. It’ll be used as a map to create a recovery plan that will work for you.

Their residential center is called the Schwartz Center and is located in Lexington. This 28-day program has a daily schedule that includes group therapy and education as well as an introduction to community support groups including AA. They treat clients who have co-occurring mental health disorders and who want to use MAT. They have separate men’s and women’s areas and can accommodate up to 12 residents of each gender.

Outpatient treatment includes individual and group sessions, case management and care coordination. You’ll learn relapse prevention skills as well as how to live a sober lifestyle even when you experience stress and challenges in life.

I like that they have a 24/7 hotline as well.

Addiction Treatment Programs

  • Young Adult Rehab

Young adult rehabs in Kentucky address a wide range of substance use issues while also helping clients transition into adulthood. In addition to typical detox, inpatient treatment, and outpatient care, a young adult program may also teach clients about living independently, budgeting, having healthy relationships, parenting, and more.

  • Adult Program

An adult program in Kentucky addresses the unique need of adults, such as finding secure housing, building a career, and raising a family. In addition to typical detox, inpatient treatment, and outpatient care, an adult program may also teach clients about building a career, saving for retirement, parenting, and more.

  • Dual Diagnosis

Many people with addiction issues also have a mental health diagnosis, which is known as a dual diagnosis. Be sure to find a rehab in Kentucky that can treat both. In addition to typical detox, inpatient treatment, and outpatient care, a dual diagnosis program may include medication management, additional counseling, and classes on healthy coping and other important life skills.

Therapies

  • Individual Therapy

During individual therapy in Kentucky, clients work with a professional to address specific individual concerns. Family therapy is a normal part of evidence-based treatment programs, and may be a part of inpatient treatment, outpatient care, or both. Topics include addressing past events, overcoming codependence and enablement, and building healthy, supportive relationships with each other.
