The Andrew House is located on the fourth floor of the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. They have 32 beds. This is a community hospital facility that serves underprivileged adults and adolescents in the community.

They provide both medical and mental health care and have specialized substance use recovery services under their HIV/AIDS program. The Andrew House specifically serves those who have a substance use disorder and a co occurring mental or physical health condition such as an HIV/AIDS diagnosis.

Andrew House is a safe place for all to live as they receive services and undergo treatment for their diagnosed struggles. They accept state coverage, and won’t deny you because of an inability to pay.

The hospital itself is somewhat dated, and the large red brick building is not as modern as you’d find with other medical facilities. The hospital is owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is operated by the State’s Department of Public Health. Since the structure is dated, as of this writing, there are plans to move the services offered in this facility into a newer building. This way, the quality care that you receive here aligns with a newer, state of the art recovery facility.
