About Riverplace Counseling Center Highway 10
Riverplace Counseling Center is off Highway 10 in Anoka, Minnesota, and is an intensive outpatient treatment program that works with men who have a substance use disorder. If your circumstances require it, you’ll also have access to housing and extended care.
This organization also serves men who are in the criminal justice system. There’s a partnership between River Place Counseling Center and the Anoka County Community Corrections. Inmates who were referred to the program can take part in a program that’s run by Riverplace Counseling, however, receive services that take place at the Anoka County Workhouse.
The Counseling Center sits in a quiet suburb that’s just under 30 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis. The facility is welcoming and nestled among the wooden residential area in Anoka. It’s a calming place to live if you’re enrolled in their on site housing program.
The men’s housing units are cozy duplex style townhomes. There’s a rustic vibe to the homes with natural colors and hardwood floors. You’ll have access to a laundry room, an onsite fitness center, and other amenities that will help you develop your skills as you reintegrate back into a productive life.
If commuting to the clinic for admissions is difficult for you, they offer same day or next day transportation services. This service can pick you up no matter where you are in the state.
You’ll find there’s a strong sense of community here. The recovery approach is centered around group therapy where you’ll work to get to the root cause of your substance use struggles. This also allows you to build a sense of community and a network of support you can turn to when you need it.
