About GRAND Mental Health

12 and 12 Addiction Recovery Center is now called Grand Mental Health. This location is their addiction recovery campus that serves adults who are experiencing co-occurring substance use disorder. There’s also a specialized veterans’ program that provides trauma-informed care. There’s residential treatment along with medically supervised detox. There’s also a continuum of outpatient services including intensive outpatient care (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP).

I like how they’re open 24/7. You don’t need to schedule an appointment; you can just walk in any time of the day or night.

When you begin treatment, an individualized recovery plan will be created and the right treatment approach will be determined for you. Like many people starting recovery, detox is the first step. The medically supervised detox here happens under the supervision of trained and experienced medical professionals. They’ll oversee that your withdrawal happens safely and in a supportive manner.

Residential treatment lasts 30-60 days and combines many evidence based therapies so that you can find the right approach for your recovery needs. You’ll work with an integrative team in individual and group therapy programs. You’ll learn essential recovery skills that will help you manage ongoing addiction struggles.

There is also educational counseling support here where you can gain critical life skills like anger management, coping strategies, stress management techniques, and more. You’ll also continue to work on relationship building skills so that you can repair relationships with family members and other loved ones. You’ll also work on rebuilding your self esteem and on gender specific issues. Together, these services can help reduce your risk of relapse.

You’ll also find transitional living support here so that you can safely make the transition back into your everyday life. This can include self-harm training in the use of Narcan. There’s also outreach and engagement that can help connect you to other resources in your community.
